Welcome to Tell Someone Who Cares!
- Palm oil production is destroying ancient rainforests, wildlife & people
- Every second a piece of rainforest the size of a soccer field disappears
- Thousands of Orangutans and other wildlife are killed and injured
- Indigenous peoples are displaced & forced to work in the industry

What’s the deal with Palm Oil?
Palm oil production is causing massive rainforest and bio diversity loss, an area the size of 300 football fields is cut down every hour, which impacts on the whole planet and contributes to climate change. Thousands of Orangutans and other wildlife are killed, injured or lose their homes and is has a huge impact on the indigenous peoples of Borneo as they rely on the rainforest to survive and when the palm oil companies move in they take the land and the people are displaced.
This destruction may take place in Indonesia but it plays a global role. After all, the problems in Indonesia have an impact on the entire planet. Ongoing deforestation is leading to massive carbon dioxide emissions with great consequences for climate change and the environment. We are tackling these issues at their heart and bringing you sustainable solutions which will work long-term… READ MORE
MEET OUR PARTNERS IN THE RAINFOREST
I am excited to partner with The Masarang Foundation because we have the same vision and mission: To preserve the environment, rescue and rehouse Orangutan, create jobs that promote fair pay, reduce poverty and I SUPPORT THEIR BUSINESS MODEL OF PEOPLE AND PLANET BEFORE PROFIT!
Founded in 2001 by Dr. Willie Smits, the Masarang Foundation focuses on nature conservation through collaboration with and development of the local population. Finding solutions for the most urgent global problems of our time; deforestation, biodiversity loss, climate change, poverty and underdevelopment.
The Illipe Butter factory is a low investment, high return, mini-factory that helps the Dayak’s to efficiently process the Tengkawang nuts into Illipe Butter, bringing jobs and income without producing any waste.
MEET THE TEAM
Care of the people is one of our core objectives, together we are providing training and jobs, health, conservation, innovation and reforestation.
We believe that by copying nature and making forest-based production systems, we can produce higher quality products and create more jobs whilst promoting biodiversity, absorbing CO2 emissions and being more profitable than any other monoculture plantation.
